Special Services- Director of Life Enrichment, Exempt
The Position
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the overall operations of the Life Enrichment Department aligning with Meadowood’s Organizational Goals, Mission, Values and Vision for the future. This position involves the creation and implementation of comprehensive health center activity programs tailored to the interests, abilities, and needs of the Residents. By fostering an environment of engagement and connectivity that is focused on the Seven Dimensions of Wellness, the Life Enrichment Director ensures that Residents have access to a diverse range of activities and events that stimulate their senses, encourage social interactions, and support their overall health and wellbeing.
The Director is responsible for creating community connections, lifelong learning opportunities and celebratory programs. In addition, the Director will recruit, train and manage volunteers and staff members, to ensure high-quality program delivery. Knowledge of Skilled Nursing Facilities and Personal Care Regulations is important to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing Resident activity programming.
Qualifications~ A Baccalaureate degree or higher, with a major in therapeutic reaction or related field is required. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification and two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Hours~ Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm, with occasional weekends/holidays and off shift hours for special events.
