Requirements: Master’s degree from accredited Clinical Social Work college or university program. Current licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Workers
General Description: The Social Worker works under the Early Intervention Program Director as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services to children birth to three years of age in a family-centered program. The Social Worker works directly with the children and their families in the child’s natural environment including but not limited to the child’s home and/or daycare settings. They coordinate with families, multidisciplinary team members, and outside providers, as appropriate to maximize positive developmental and learning outcomes for children and families served.

Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to children, adolescents, and young adults with acquired brain injury and other neurobehavioral disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans and complete services notes
- Provide case management and support to families and act as a liaison between parents/guardians and the school and residential staff
- Collaborate outside service providers such as DCF and DDS
- Provide consultation and training to classroom and residential staff
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and participate in clinical rounds, IEP meetings, and treatment meetings.
- Assist families with guardianship, benefits, and transition to adult services.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of family engagement events and Parent Advisory Council meetings
