Position: Policy & Procedure Analyst
Company: Mariner Finance
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Pay Range: $28-34.20/ hr
Qualifications:
|
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a corporate setting with demonstrated success meeting deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Experience with web-based technologies.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and interact effectively with all levels of employees.
- Proven critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to assess the impact of policy changes on all areas of the business.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including prioritization, multitasking, attention to detail, and working with deadlines.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and timelines.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning, actively seeking out opportunities to acquire new skills and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Knowledge of current industry standards for technical writing, appropriate English grammar and usage, and editing and proofreading

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
|
In this role, you will be responsible for projects involving the research, analysis, development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of policies and procedures documentation to effectively meet the company’s operational requirements. Be accountable for supporting the team in the creation of new and updated policies, procedures, process flows, and other relevant documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency and adherence to controls associated with the policy change process. You will:
- Analyze, write, and update comprehensive operating policies and procedures to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with various business units to update and maintain existing policies and procedures and develop new policies in response to regulatory changes or business unit initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with teams within the organization to solicit feedback and synthesize multiple perspectives into comprehensive policy proposals.
- Identify potential enhancements and the need for development of new policies and procedures.
- Participate in department and project meetings, document results, and follow up to ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
- Practice effective project and time management skills by creating tasks and timelines to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with risk controls related to policy development and change process.
- Create policy announcements to educate employees on updates to policies or new regulatory developments.
- Review, research, and respond to policy and compliance questions and issues.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.
- May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or similar degree or equivalent years of experience in related field.

- Experience in financial services or banking.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
