LSSI is hiring a full–time Maintenance Technician Under direction of Maintenance Manager provides direct building maintenance and cleaning for all facets of physical plant and grounds in accordance with health and safety requirements of LSSI / HUD with on-call duties as assigned.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM

Essential Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties and repair of buildings and grounds.
- Report needs for major repairs as required by LSSI/HUD
- Follow standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
- Assist in manage preventive maintenance program.
- Assist in resident apartment or room turnover preparations.
- Perform on-call services, as scheduled, and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / Equivalent or 6 months or more experience of maintenance related experience.
- Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex and/or varied tasks, relate to others, make decisions, direct/control plan work, communicate in writing and verbally.
- Willingness and ability to participate/obtain HUD, LSSI, OSHA, NSPIRE/REAC, etc. related training.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
- Access to an insured vehicle with required and valid IL statutory minimum insurance coverage.
