JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of reports and statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (i.e., net assets, investments, revenue, expenses, and payroll allocations) ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
- Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
- Assist the Controller in developing and monitoring monthly financial reporting needs.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
Additional Functions /Responsibilities:
- Gather data and report on specific items when requested by management or internal audit.
- Communicate with field and CSO Staff to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain all key General Ledger documents including but not limited to BS reconciliation log, lists of programs, location, and accounts.
- Process Capital Project Forms and obtain all support and required signatures accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation for the year-end audit and cost reports as needed.
- Respond to all incoming correspondence and questions in a timely manner; including but not limited to inquires received via email, telephone, text message, and fax.
- Ensure reasonable measures are taken to protect confidential and/or sensitive information as well as ensuring the security of all LSSI systems is maintained.
- Responsible for completing all required training assignments as well as complying with the related organizational, administrative, and programmatic policies.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/business required.
Professional Licensure/Certifications:
- Background check clearance required.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in accounting required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math functions required.
- Experience using Great Plains preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
