ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strengthen the marketing strategy, build community awareness, and educate the community on benefits of supportive living and apartment living at Joshua Arms.
- Assist in the development of new resources, programs, and promotional content to aid in the marketing of the supportive living program/apartment living options.
- Research potential marketing opportunities by means of establishing relationships with stakeholders and developing creative new ideas (within budget parameters) related to attracting applicants and maintaining maximum occupancy in the program.
- Interpret data obtained from aforementioned research and identify the most successful marketing endeavors to increase occupancy and provide management with a written explanation (report) of the meaning of the information received.
- Analyze data, identify patterns, relationships, and draw conclusions which will increase occupancy. This includes, but is not limited to, developing a written marketing strategy which identifies key stakeholders and strategies that will lead / have led to successful move-ins and increase(d) overall occupancy in the program.
- Create opportunities for prospective clients, service providers and other outside sources to tour the facility.
- Responsible for timely and accurate submission of reports, conducting financial interviews, and processing applicant files in accordance with LSSI and HUD procedures.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Additional Functions/Responsibilities:
- Know and communicate the mission and services of the Agency/Program.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve occupancy goals and assist in the development of effective marketing materials and options in accordance with approved Agency procedures.

- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years of sales/marketing experience in related field preferred, or commensurate experience.
Professional Licensure/Certifications:
- Must possess the Certified Occupancy Specialist Designation (COS) or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire.
- Obtain Leasing Agents Licensure with 90 days of hire.
- Background check clearance required.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experienced:
- Preferred minimum of 5 years of sales/marketing experience in Supportive Living or related field.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of senior housing/supportive living policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with seniors in a confidential manner.
- Strong organizational and marketing skills related to Supportive Living or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex and/or varied tasks, relate to others, make decisions, direct/control plan work, communicate in writing and verbally.
- Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Driving Requirements:
- Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Access to reliable transportation required.
Auto Insurance:
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
Equipment:
- General office/building equipment including, but not limited to copier, typewriter, fax, postage meter, vacuum, and cell phone.
Working Conditions:
Travel:
- In-office with some field marketing. Local travel is required for the position, approximately 40% of the time. Minimum overnight stays are required for the position, approximately less than 10% of the time.
Environmental Factors:
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases, blood, and/or other bodily fluids.
- Potential exposure to work in Extreme Cold (below 32 F), work in extreme heat (above 100 F); may work outdoors for periods longer than 15 minutes (without shelter),
- Exposure to dust/fumes/steam/chemicals, work around moving machinery, work at heights up to building height.
- Protective Equipment Required, (respirator, mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, supportive gear, protective suit).
