Digital Solutions Financial & Operations Analyst
This position is based out of Houston, TX and fully in-office.
Job Overview: The Digital Solutions Financial & Operations Analyst will use their financial expertise and business acumen to inform decisions, while enhancing overall business financial performance. This position is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, process efficiency, and supporting strategic initiatives. This analyst requires a strong foundation in financial analysis and reporting, paired with a clear understanding of operational workflows, vendor relationships, and billing dynamics. This position reports to the Digital Solution Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze variances/trends within monthly financial results and prepare month-end reports, which are used to monitor key performance metrics.
- Review customer billing trends to ensure accuracy, completeness, help resolve discrepancies and increase revenue capture.
- Reconcile asset records to confirm consistency and accuracy between operational systems and financial reporting platforms.
- Evaluate vendor contracts to verify alignment between contractual terms, actual invoicing, and service performance.
- Conduct vendor cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and improve contribution margin.
- Lead special projects that support strategic initiatives focused on driving financial and operational success.
- Develop models and frameworks to evaluate ROI, cost optimization, and current processes.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.
- Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure operational consistency.
- Other duties may be as assigned as needed.
Primary Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of finance or accounting experience.
- Experience navigating billing and accounts payable systems.
- Experience with managing projects across disciplines, a plus.
Individual Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear insights and business recommendations.
- Ability to manage process changes and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling, and budgeting.
- Keen sense of curiosity, along with a proactive attitude
- Experience with Salesforce and other CRM software integrations.
- Proficient in MS Office products, with strong excel modeling skillset.
- Experience with Oracle, ERP, and BI/reporting tools, a plus.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at various levels in the organization and external business contacts.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage projects effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
