The Impact You Will Make
The person hired for the position of Analytical Scientist will conduct analytical testing of pharmaceutical products, drug device combination products, and materials to support current products, new product development projects, and Analytical Services. The Analytical Scientist will work with chromatographic systems (i.e., liquid and/or gas chromatography), electronic laboratory notebooks and laboratory information management systems. The Analytical Scientist may perform testing for stability and product understanding, develop methods, and conduct method validations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure world-class safety within the laboratory and Kindeva Headquarters Facility
- Conduct analyses in adherence to SOPs
- Efficiently perform wet chemistry testing and instrumental analyses, using GC, HPLC, Dissolution apparatus, and Texture Analyzer
- Analyze Raw Materials and Finished Products according to approved test methods and specifications
- May use gas and liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry
- Use chromatography data acquisition system (Empower)
- Use electronic laboratory notebook and LIMS system to document and archive analytical results in compliance with GMP
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills; including graphing of data and basic use and understanding of statistics
- Be able to multitask and remain flexible to changing project priorities
- Write technical documents including test methods, protocols, reports, work instructions, and specifications
- Perform and support the qualification, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science discipline from an accredited university
- Basic understanding of GMP
- Minimum 1 year analytical testing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry from an accredited university
- Familiar with Empower or similar chromatography data acquisition system
- Prior use of laboratory notebook to document work in GMP-compliant manner
- Experience with trace-level analytical instrumentation, methods, and testing
- Demonstrated technical writing and data analysis skills
