Supply Chain – Warehouse Operative

Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Warehouse Operative works in a pivotal role essential for the smooth running for the site. In this role you will be responsible for the loading/unloading wagons, managing the shipping documentation process, contacting freight forwarders to ensure dispatch / collection of goods via the various methods.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create the sites distribution requirements and organise the transit to the customer.
- Create shipping documentation and contact freight forwarders in a timely manner to ensure goods are collected as per requirements.
- Track all 3rd party shipments after dispatch and report.
- Trade compliance - collate for all shipments that use our VAT number.
- Co-ordinate/resolve complex issues surrounding transportation of materials from local, national and international locations.
- Work with the planner to ensure timely shipment of product to and from outsourced supplier.
- Receive raw material onto the ERP system, report damages/discrepancies to the shipping paperwork.
- Ensure all supplier delivery issues are captured within the sites SCAR process.
- Monitor all packaging levels, including returnable packaging.
- Monthly PI compliance reports ensuring all controls are in place.
- Control weekly ad hoc stock takes of hi value hot spot PSA’s and report findings to area leads for investigation/sentencing.
- Control bimonthly/monthly stock takes of other PSA’s depending on historic level of accuracy and report findings to area lead for investigation/sentencing.
- Maintain the sites FLT compliance and organise training when required.
- Ensure weekly racking audits are completed in all areas where racking is located, organise the training renewal of our sites racking resources.
- Monitor returnable packaging levels and work with UK and International sites to ensure timely return.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, warehouse or supply chain role.
- Familiar with picker/packer, goods-in/out experience.
- Counterbalance licence is desirable.
- Previous experience of working in a physical active role.
- Good understanding of GMP.
- Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional information:
Working Hours: 37.5hrs per week
Location: Up Brooks, Clitheroe – update location as appropriate
