Privacy Specialist Lead

Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Privacy Specialist Lead to direct and oversee privacy program implementation and compliance initiatives for our federal government clients. The ideal candidate will bring comprehensive leadership experience and deep privacy expertise to guide strategic privacy initiatives and lead privacy teams. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for privacy initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal requirements. They will work with executive stakeholders to develop and implement effective privacy programs that protect sensitive information while enabling mission success.
This role offers opportunities to shape organizational privacy strategy and make significant contributions to protecting sensitive government data through innovative privacy solutions.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:
- The Privacy Specialist Lead will direct privacy program strategy and implementation. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide privacy programs.
- Oversee privacy impact assessments and compliance activities.
- Develop privacy strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage privacy incident response and breach notification processes.
- Service as the primary point of contact for privacy matters with stakeholders.
- Lead privacy awareness and training initiatives.
- Lead privacy compliance efforts
- Manage privacy team activities
- Direct privacy risk management
- Direct privacy audits and assessments
- Lead privacy governance efforts
- Develop privacy metrics and reporting
- Guide privacy technology implementation
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Degree in Privacy, Information Security, Law, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in privacy or related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Advanced privacy certifications (CIPM, CIPP/G, or equivalent)
- Experience with federal privacy programs

- Advanced knowledge of privacy laws, regulations, and frameworks
- Strategic planning and program development expertise.
