Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking A&A Cybersecurity Engineer/ Architect Lead (AI/Automation) to support KDS and our government customer in Alexandria, VA. This is a Remote opportunity.

Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an innovative Assessment & Authorization (A&A) Cybersecurity Engineer/Architect Lead to spearhead the development and implementation of AI-driven and automated security compliance solutions for our federal government clients. This senior-level position requires an individual who can bridge traditional A&A processes with cutting-edge automation technologies. 

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • The A&A Cybersecurity Engineer/Architect Lead (AI/Automation) will lead the transformation of traditional A&A processes through innovative automation solutions. Key responsibilities include:
  • Design and implement AI-driven solutions for security control assessment and continuous monitoring
  • Develop automation strategies for security documentation and compliance processes
  • Architect solutions that integrate machine learning for risk assessment and analysis
  • Lead the development of automated security control validation tools
  • Create automated workflows for authorization package generation and maintenance
  • Design and implement automated security testing frameworks
  • Develop predictive analytics for security posture assessment
  • Guide the integration of DevSecOps practices into A&A processes
  • Mentor team members in automation technologies and best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities
  • Lead innovative initiatives for security compliance modernization
  • Develop metrics and reporting for automated processes
  • Architect solutions for continuous ATO through automation

Education and Experience:
Required:

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity
  • 5+ years of experience with RMF and FISMA compliance
  • 3+ years of experience with AI/ML technologies and automation
  • Current security certifications (CISSP, Security+, or equivalent)

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Expert knowledge of RMF and FISMA requirements
  • Strong experience with AI/ML technologies and frameworks
  • Expertise in automation tools and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
  • Advanced knowledge of security control automation
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps
  • Strong understanding of cloud security automation
  • Expertise in security architecture and engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of security tools and technologies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Proficiency in technical architecture documentation
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Ph.D. in relevant field
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with natural language processing
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology
  • Expertise in big data analytics
  • Experience with security orchestration platforms
  • Knowledge of zero trust architecture
  • Background in security research
  • Experience with federal cloud initiatives
  • Published works in cybersecurity
  • Patent holdings in security automation
  • Experience with quantum computing concepts
  • Knowledge of CMMC 2.0 framework
  • Experience with security compliance automation tools
  • Deep learning expertise
  • Machine learning model development experience
