Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking A&A Data Scientist/Analyst (AI/Automation) to supportKDS and our government customer in Alexandria, VA. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity.

Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a skilled Data Scientist/Analyst to support our Assessment & Authorization (A&A) programs through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in data science with cybersecurity knowledge to develop innovative approaches to security compliance automation. 

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • The A&A Data Scientist/Analyst will focus on leveraging data analytics and AI to enhance security compliance processes. Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement machine learning models for security control assessment
  • Create predictive analytics solutions for risk management
  • Design and maintain data pipelines for security compliance metrics
  • Analyze security assessment data to identify patterns and trends
  • Develop automated reporting solutions for compliance status
  • Create visualization tools for security posture analysis
  • Build natural language processing solutions for documentation analysis
  • Implement statistical analysis methods for security control effectiveness
  • Develop algorithms for automated security control validation
  • Create and maintain dashboards for compliance monitoring
  • Perform data mining on security assessment results
  • Support the development of AI-driven compliance tools
  • Collaborate with security teams to identify data-driven solutions
  • Document analytical methodologies and findings

Education and Experience:
Required:

  • College degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics
  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity or information security
  • Experience with machine learning and AI technologies
  • Current Security+ certification or equivalent

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling
  • Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of RMF and FISMA requirements
  • Proficiency in data preprocessing and cleaning
  • Knowledge of natural language processing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with big data technologies
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Excellent documentation abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Additional security certifications (CISSP, CASP+)
  • Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
  • Expertise in deep learning
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of blockchain analytics
  • Familiarity with quantum computing concepts
  • Experience with federal government systems
  • Published research in relevant fields
  • Experience with security orchestration platforms
  • Knowledge of continuous monitoring systems
  • Expertise in anomaly detection
  • Experience with real-time analytics
  • Understanding of privacy requirements and controls
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC)
