Growth Intern
Koniag Government Services has an exciting opportunity for an Intern to work in our Growth Organization. With the paid KGS internship, you will gain knowledge of the Federal government consulting industry, learn new business skills and deepen your knowledge of your field of study. You will have the opportunity to foster business relationships with KGS professionals and acquire the skills, and professional network can help you succeed in the modern workplace and global marketplace. KGS seeks candidates with a broad set of experiences and skills and is open to all eligible students interested in learning more about the government contracting business. This opportunity is a Hybrid remote/office.
You will gain business experience through hands-on learning and projects. During the internship, you’ll have the opportunity to build foundational knowledge, put your research skills to work, and develop strong relationships through training, mentorship, and ongoing feedback. KGS seeks interns to grow their skills in growth operations, business development, and government contracting.
Primary Duties:
- For Request for Information (RFI) responses, pre-populate the doc with the company / entity info, POCs, and contract data for project references that are to be included in the RFI response.
- For new projects that we have won in the past year, develop basic draft past performance write-ups with the contract data and project descriptions based on the Performance Work Statement (PWS), etc.
- For industry days or webinars, help document the proceedings (if it is not recorded), if the KGS Point of Contact (POC) is not able to attend (or even if the KGS POC can attend)
- Help ensure that materials are being posted to the Line of Business (LOB) account plan sites (on TEAMS channels) - and/or work with the LOB Growth lead to assist in posting / sharing/updating materials as needed.
- Help keep track of conferences/upcoming conferences; and help the primary Conference Owner with preparing for conference attendance.
- Serve as back-up for documenting notes from win strategy meetings and/or converting meeting recordings to notes.
- Help with completing and submitting Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and Teaming Agreement (TA) requests (working with the capture manager).
- Track the federal budget initiatives for 2024 and report on what’s been requested and in what areas.
- Registering KGS in supplier databases.
- Help collecting technical credentials throughout the company.
- Create a matrix that maps technologies that are in use on projects.
Requirements:
- Pursing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, technology or related field.
- Strong organizational Skills

- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; adaptive to change, creativity & self-confidence; leadership qualities; team-oriented and collaborative
- The start timing for this position is negotiable based on students desired start date
- US Citizenship preferred
