Site Reliability Engineer
Position Overview:
This position is for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (Sys. Admin) with a Top Secret clearance to support the FBI’s Information Management Division by applying information technology solutions to their business processes. This position is responsible for managing a hybrid system across a multitude of environments. This position is expected to interface directly with the client and integrate within a dispersed team.
The ideal Candidate will have experience supporting the FBI or DoD agencies. Will have experience developing, managing, and providing operational support, software and database development, systems engineering, systems security, and IT customer support to address the system requirements.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Utilize the following tools and technologies to manage a complex, hybrid environment: Ansible, AWS, SQL Server Management Studio, Putty, Brava, PGPool, PGAdmin, Postgres, Splunk, Terraform, JIRA Service Desk, Microsoft and Linux server administration, Kubernetes, Powershell, K2, Keycloak, Active Directory, Azure DevOps, F5, and VMware
- Mitigate POAM&Ms discovered during security scans
- Conduct and partake in Agile ceremonies oriented towards a DevOps Team
- Develop and deliver presentations, briefings, and demonstrations as needed to support the team
- Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
- Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs
- Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
- Assess business process and system inefficiencies
Requirements
Education:
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field preferred and 5 years of related experience
- 5+ years’ experience with providing analysis of existing processes, requirements, functionality, and systems to determine how a system works
- Agile Certifications a plus
- Top Secret clearance
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates) to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, Customers, technical staff)
- Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction
- Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
Office Location and Travel:
The primary place of performance is onsite at FBI Central Records Complex (CRC), Winchester, Virginia.
