Kendall Vegetation Services has been in business for over 60 years and provides full-service vegetation management for the Utilities industry in 14 states. Starting as a commercial tree trimming company, we also provide services such as storm and emergency restoration, line clearance, herbicide application, and transmission right-of-way maintenance and mowing.

$10,000 Signing Bonus - conditions will apply

The Supervisor is responsible for managing and increasing sales from potential customers and our existing customer base as well as contract performance of all vegetation management crews in a given territory.
 
Essential duties include:
 
Seek out, build, and manage relationships with prospective customers; build and manage relationships with existing customers
Determine customer requirements and expectations; work with Regional Manager in order to properly quote specific jobs
Promote a culture of safety by ensuring 100% compliance on safety regulations
Engage with employees on a regular basis by making crew visits
Promote and ensure employee development is being conducted on a regular basis
Study and determine most efficient way to handle each job, considering such factors as location, season, crew availability, equipment, materials, etc.
Oversee productivity of each crew making sure each tool and piece of equipment is utilized to its fullest
Remain in contact with customers, property owners, the general public, other contractors, and representatives of utilities and governmental agencies
Oversee ordering, distribution, and maintenance of all tools and equipment; recommend and schedule replacement of maintenance in time to avoid a breakdown
Ensure that all employees have the proper certifications and qualifications for their positions and the equipment they operate
Assemble crews for storm work and perform duties as needed

 

Specific requirements include:
 
At least 5 years’ prior supervisory experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Must have excellent listening skills and a strong attention to detail
Must be able to supervise the performance of multiple employees and various crews’ performance
Must maintain a professional and effective relationship with employees, customers, and the general public
Must be able to meet and demonstrate qualifications of all positions on a crew
Must possess strong organizational skills
Must have and maintain a Driver’s License and be able to safely drive a company vehicle
Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions
Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed
