Community Outreach - Jewish Clergy

General Overview:

JSSA is seeking a part-time, 4 hours per week (2-hour on two different days of the week) Jewish Rabbi to join our team of chaplains in providing spiritual care and Jewish enrichment for people in care at a Washington, D.C. psychiatric hospital.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead brief, meaningful religious groups for patients.
  • Upon request, lead relevant and engaging discussions for residents
  • Visit residents in their rooms if they are unable to attend services/discussion

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Rabbinic or Cantorial Seminary training or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing duties outlined above;
  • Possess at least one unit of Chaplaincy Pastor Education (CPE),
  • Ordination is required.
