Position Summary:

 

The Director, Business Development – MOKA is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for driving strategic growth, profitability, and market presence for the MOKA brands within the JB&A portfolio. This role requires strong business acumen, lateral leadership, and a proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to execute on sales strategies. The Director will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Vendor Partners, Product Management, and end customers to deliver innovative solutions, enable channel growth, and support go-to-market success.

This role serves as a key liaison between JB&A and assigned vendor partners, ensuring alignment with company objectives while identifying and capitalizing on new revenue opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for the MOKA product lines, aligned with JB&A’s overall business objectives.
  • Act as a senior-level advocate and technical/business expert for the brands, guiding sales efforts and enabling market penetration.
  • Collaborate with the sales organization to drive pipeline development, assist in opportunity shaping, and close high-impact deals; participate in joint sales calls and customer presentations as needed.
  • Own and nurture vendor relationships with MOKA, facilitating regular communication, business reviews, and alignment on goals, pricing strategies, and marketing programs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across verticals; work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to activate and execute.
  • Create and deliver internal enablement and external messaging to promote MOKA capabilities, including sales tools, training, content, and competitive positioning.
  • Represent JB&A and the brands at industry events, trade shows, and webinars as a thought leader and category expert.
  • Provide business intelligence and market trends to guide strategy and support decision-making.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in business development, vendor management, or channel sales in the Pro AV, CE, or IT industry.
  • Proven track record of growing product lines, launching new technologies, and delivering revenue growth through partner ecosystems.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Self-starter with strong project management and organizational skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity and multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel – including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP); familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
