Food Service Team Member

Pay: $15.50 an hour.

  What will I do as a Food Service Team Member?

• Greet customers with a smile, thanking them for their business, and inviting them back.        
• Act as a subject matter expert for fast food, deli, and beverage programs/promotions.  
• Build brand awareness by actively sampling food items to customers.      
• Maintain cleanliness and effective operation of all food service equipment and report any issues or repairs needed to your manager.     
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling/prep/storage/disposal procedures are followed.            
• Keep the store, coffee, food, and checkout areas clean and stocked.             
• Complete waste sheets and temperature logs as required.            
• May be cross trained to Cashier.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, you are frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and hear.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.

Job Purpose:

A Food Service Representative increases sales of Jacksons Foodservice Programs by engaging, actively sampling and executing the fast food program to customers of Jacksons Food Stores.

Duties:

·         Report to work promptly, neatly groomed, and in proper attire.

·         Provide exceptional customer service.  Be courteous, always greet and thank all customers.

·         Being knowledgeable of all fast food, deli, and beverage programs and promotions.

·         Maintains appropriate levels of prep items and levels of food out at all times.

·         Actively sample all fast food, deli, and beverage programs in stores and offering bounce-back coupons as needed.

·         Follow-up with customers on products and services, and solicit feedback.

·         Ensures proper sanitation and food handling/prep/storage/disposal procedures are followed.

·         Maintains all FF equipment in its operation – Ensure it’s working, clean and in use. Ex. Brewing coffee/tea, filling cappuccino and frazil.

·         Must be safety/security conscious, adhere to the guidelines in the Safety Manual, and report any accidents or incidents to supervisor immediately.

·         Work with Food Service AM to ensure FF area is clean and organized during off hours.

·         Complete waste sheets and temperature log daily. Ensures all food hold times are upheld.

·         Other duties as assigned.
 

Skills/Qualifications:

Ability to read and analyze basic spreadsheets. Being self-motivated, having strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality are essential traits.  Must be available for possible rotating shifts (including nights and weekends) and holidays. NV Only – must be of legal age to work in an establishment with slot machines.
