Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 an hour.

Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.

 Schedule: Shifts can begin as early as 4:00am and end in the afternoon, up to five days a week, and possibly weekends. This is a seasonal summer position through the month of September. Upon the close of the season, permanent employment may be offered if performance was satisfactory through the seasonal period.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for managing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Key duties include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, organizing and storing products, picking and packing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and adherence to safety protocols.

• The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient replenishment of products in the warehouse.
• Replenishing product in inventory slots.
• Unload empty returned totes from trailers.
• Operate certain machinery.
• Rotating product throughout the facility using the first in/first out method.
• Assist in obtaining product from the receiving team.
• Assist the order selection team when necessary.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Fold and stack cardboard as needed.
• Follow safety & security guidelines.
• Knowledgeable of work area and inventory
• Perform other duties and work in other areas as assigned.
   

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience working in a Warehouse or Manufacturing Environments a plus.
• Ability to understand warehouse mapping.
• Ability to safely use warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift and move cases up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow policies and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work overtime upon request.

Working Conditions:
Seasonal Warehouse Clerks will work in regular or freezer temperatures. Individuals working in freezer conditions will be provided adequate cold gear and receive additional hourly differentials. This role is very fast-paced and requires a significant amount of movement to meet replenishment rates. The position will also require general physical movements such as walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching. Individuals will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/ policies.
