Program Manager, Email Marketing
The general salary range for this position is $63,000 – 95,000. Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.
Humane World for Animals, a global leader in animal advocacy and protection, is seeking a Program Manager, Email Marketing for the Digital Marketing department. In this position you will assist the Senior Manager, Email Marketing in identifying and executing fundraising, advocacy, brand awareness and communication goals to maximize the effectiveness of the email program. You will provide strategic direction to Specialists to help grow the email fundraising program.
Responsibilities:
- Writes, builds, edits, tests, reviews, and sends emails and automations to help meet the organization’s fundraising, advocacy and brand awareness goals while strengthening relationships with our supporters;
- Assists with development and execution of the email marketing fundraising strategy (defining, creating, testing, and measuring) to meet goals and improve the organization’s emails;
- Provides day to day guidance and strategy to Email Marketing Specialists;
- Researches and stays current on assigned campaign activities to maintain a robust and consistent email program that supports the mission of the organization;
- Updates and maintains standard operating procedures for the team, to include but not limited to production manuals and templates;
- Train new and existing team members on processes and technology;
- Stay up to date on new technologies, online communications systems and digital strategies;
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience required;
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in digital marketing with at least two (2) years of experience in email marketing required;
- Experience with HTML, CSS, basic web design, email, website, and constituent management systems (such as Engaging Networks) required;
- Experience with an advocacy or non-profit organization highly desired;
- Excellent project management skills for planning, executing, and following up on issues, projects, and daily responsibilities to meet established deadlines with little supervision;
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with demonstrated flexibility and the ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities and issues of varying complexity, while meeting time sensitive deadlines and deliverables;
- The ability to build and foster relationships by reinforcing trust and respect, and demonstrating high standards of tact, diplomacy, and discretion;
- Strong knowledge of basic HTML and web design;
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member in a team environment;
- Familiarity with constituent management systems (Engaging Networks a plus);
- Strong interest in animal protection issues desired.
This is a full-time remote position based in the US.
