Estimator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven individual to join our sales team at our Canton, OH location. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates based on specifications and design requirements provided by customers. In addition, the role includes managing projects post-award, handling customer communications, and overseeing submittals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and terms and conditions to prepare accurate estimates for substation steel projects.
• Perform detailed take-offs for substation steel using Microsoft Excel.
• Coordinate with material suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and accuracy in quotations.
• Review purchase order documents for compliance with quoted specifications and terms.
• Provide ongoing customer support to ensure successful contract fulfillment.
• Maintain timely communication with customers during the estimation and project management process.
• Conduct post-project reviews to assess estimation accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong ability to read and understand structural steel fabrication drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and skill improvement.
• Determined, results-driven with excellent execution skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
