V&S Schuler Utilities, Inc. is a well-established electric utility steel fabricator with operations in Canton, OH, Middlefield, OH, Muskogee, OK, Trenton, NJ, and Elberton, GA. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Canton, OH.

Position Summary:
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project bid documents and preparing detailed material and service cost estimates for high voltage utility projects. This role plays a critical part in securing new business by ensuring competitive and accurate proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project bid documents and specifications to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare accurate material quantity takeoffs and solicit manufacturer pricing and lead times.
• Evaluate supplier quotes for cost efficiency and delivery capability.
• Develop and compile cost estimates and assist with preparing comprehensive bid proposals.
• Identify project risks and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Work closely with customers during the bidding phase to ensure responsiveness and professionalism.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assemble bid packages and support procurement needs.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the high voltage utility industry.
• Familiarity with structural steel and high voltage equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and bid specifications.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field preferred.
