Job Summary

 

This position is responsible for executing processes and procedures for Inventory Management.  This includes the implementation of containment measures and executing root cause analysis to implement permanent corrective actions. For inventory, that includes but is not limited to control of lost inventory, inventory adjustments, E&O, system triggered cycle counts, and warehouse cycle counting.

 

Essential Job Functions *

 

  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Participate in Safety programs/processes to improve our safety performance.
  • Direct supervision of the inventory management and assigned facilities.
  • Execution of inventory management best practices in coordination with our networks site leaders. 
  • Develop near-term and long-term strategies for Inventory.
  • Adopt standard Hillman Continuous Improvement processes where applicable.
  • Implement Inventory Metrics and Tracking mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
  • Report on inventory activities and variances.

Education & Experience

 

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • 2 or more years’ experience with AS400, PKMS, Manhattan WMS
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of distribution workplaces
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)

Office: Office setting. Seldom exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Loud working environment of the shop area. Functional vision and hearing required.
