Licensed Practical Nurse - CAPD Dialysis
SUMMARY: The Hemodialysis LPN administers direct patient care in the dialysis unit under the supervision of the Dialysis Nursing Supervisor and/or Team Leader; performs assigned tasks independently and efficiently after instruction from designated medical professionals; is responsible for specific areas of the hemodialysis treatment including preparation of equipment and safety devices, observation of the patient for adverse symptoms, documentation of treatment data and other duties.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal training which will probably be indicated by graduation from an accredited school of nursing; currently licensed in the State of Mississippi; on-the-job training specific to hemodialysis and the LPN-IV role; ability to accept supervision from designated medical personnel and to function as a member of the nursing team.
Physical guidelines include ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, bend, stoop, twist, climb, assist patients in turning, assist patients in arising from exam table, push wheelchair patients, and assist patients in arising from and returning to wheelchair
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
