PC Technician Level I - Information Systems
POSITION SUMMARY:
The PC Technician Level I installs, configures, supports, and troubleshoots PC and laptop hardware, software, and peripherals. The PC Technician Level I also escalates problems to vendors as necessary; maintains a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office; on-site and telephone support for the use of hardware and software; makes sure all support requests are documented completely; responds to all calls that come into the Helpdesk in accordance with departmental procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, required; Knowledge of troubleshooting PC’s in a network environment, required; One to two (1-2) years of prior experience in an IT-related field, preferred. Valid driver's license and insurance, required. Daytime travel as needed, required.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday – Friday, 8:00A.M. – 5:00P.M., some weekends on call.
