Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse/Scribe, Dr. Lovitt - Petal Family Practice

POSITION SUMMARY:  When functioning as a scribe, employee works under general supervision to perform transcription of the physician’s dictation of patient encounters while in the clinic setting. 

Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse/Scribe is responsible for providing nursing care to patients; utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics; participates in the organization and management of the physician’s practice.  

QAULIFICATIONS:  Graduation from an accredited medical assistant or LPN program; has current CMA certification or LPN license; has current CPR certification; prefer one (1) year of clinical experience. Desired personal skills include ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent computer skills, including data entry and knowledge of medical terminology; must be a team player, have a neat appearance, and good communication skills both orally and in writing; must work well with patients and others with a willingness to assign high priority to physician and patient satisfaction; ability to work compatibly with physicians, other department members, and clinic employees in other departments.

WORK SCHEDULE:  Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
