POSITION OVERVIEW
The EHS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day implementation and management of the company’s Environmental Health and Safety programs, database, and communication channels to reinforce our commitment to safety and adhere to all compliance requirements and regulations.
The EHS Coordinator will support our corporate and project safety teams with data entry, organization, safety mail/phone distribution, and maintenance of safety calendar, records, and compiling safety data for reporting.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development, review, and update of SOPs, training, and safety materials.
- Manage inventory, distribution, and ordering of PPE and safety equipment.
- Manage and maintain DOT driving program (DOT and CDL) records and requirements.
- Assist with, claim tracking, submission and document management. .
- Field in-bound complaints, gather data and provide to the appropriate Safety Manager for further investigation and next steps.
- Perform Safety Orientation and assist with vendor training coordination.
- Assist with maintaining compliance files (OSHA logs, county inspection logs, departmental policies,).
- Track and maintain all employee training certificates in conjunction with Learning & Development.
- Manage communication with field staff as certifications are expiring.
- Build relationships with third parties (Workers Comp., Clinic, Medical Review Officer).
- Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards.
- Create, update and maintain Toolbox Talks, and weekly Huddle presentations.
- Manage Safety Director’s calendar as well as Departmental calendar including scheduling and maintaining weekly/monthly meeting schedules.
- Attend departmental weekly and monthly meetings, prepare agendas and disburse meeting minutes.
- Maintain confidentiality, strong work ethic, and follow policies and procedures.
- Prepare and edit written materials to ensure clear messaging.
- Perform other duties, administrative tasks, or special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (KSA’s, Education, YOE)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or experience equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Strong Excel, VLOOKUP, Metrics/Reporting a plus).
- Quick to learn web-based technologies
- Proven ability to work independently, willingness to ask questions, and a self-starter
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking
- Basic understanding of Workers Compensation and EMOD
- Experience with HCSS, Procore, or Keystyle
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS (environment, noise level, public interactions)
- Office working environment with occasional travel to job sites.
- Lift and move up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to wear required PPE on job sites and freely access all points of a construction site with wide-ranging climate and environment.
