Position Overview

The Stock Clerk Lead coordinates the activities of the stock clerks, ensuring efficient and accurate management of inventory and stockroom operations. This role involves overseeing daily tasks, providing training and support to team members, and maintaining high standards for inventory accuracy and organization.

Essential Job Duties

1. Supervise and lead a team of stock clerks, assigning tasks and ensuring that all stockroom activities are performed accurately and efficiently. Provide training and mentorship to new and existing team members.

2. Coordinate the picking, packing, and preparation of items for shipment or distribution. Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

3. Oversee the receipt and stocking of incoming shipments.

4. Conduct regular inventory counts and audits. Reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records. Address any issues with stock levels or discrepancies.

5. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all transactions are properly documented. Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and other relevant data.

6. Assist with resolving any inventory-related issues.

7. Ensure that team members provide excellent service to customers and address their needs promptly.

8. Be aware of materials requiring special handling and preservation and ensure that proper action is taken in the shipping, receiving and handling of materials.

9. Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory management and stockroom efficiency. Monitor and adjust processes as needed.

10. Ensure adherence to all safety and health regulations within the stockroom.

11. Promote a safe working environment and address any safety concerns or violations.

12. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What you need: (Requirements)

Minimum

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Ability to read, write and understand the English language.

3. Three (3) years stores / parts experience.

4. Must have working knowledge of receipt, verification and stocking of parts.

5. Individual should be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision.

6. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

7. Must have the ability to lead people and accept responsibility.

Preferred

1. Aviation stores experience.

2. Knowledge of tools.

Physical Requirements

1. Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted

2. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods of time

3. May be exposed to loud noise and inclement weather.
