GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide day-to-day leadership of Clean Technology Accelerator program activities and staff, ensuring alignment with program goals, grant requirements, and Goodwill’s Strategic Plan.
To be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders in order to ensure the viability and sustainability of the organization.
To take accountability of program services from both financial and programmatic approach.
To manage program personnel with dignity and respect and develop talent within the organization.
To develop talent within the organization in order to promote, “The Best Place to Grow”.
To uphold Goodwill’s CARES+ values.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To support implementation of all program elements as outlined in the Clean Technology Accelerator design and applicable grants or funder requirements.
- To assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, and supporting GCTA Career Navigators, Instructors, and administrative staff.
- To read, understand, and comply with all organizational policies and grant compliance requirements.
- To assist with identifying process improvements and communicate recommendations to the Mission Manager.
- To help coordinate recruitment, eligibility screening, enrollment, and orientation activities for program participants.
- To ensure accurate and timely data entry by the team and provide support in using reporting systems and tools.
- To track and monitor participant progress across service areas: Work Readiness, Training, Supportive Services, and Job Placement.
- To facilitate internal team meetings and provide updates, action plans, and follow-up to ensure team alignment.
- To complete documentation, reports, and deliverables required for funders and internal leadership.
- To assist the Mission Manager in meeting program outcome goals including enrollment, credential attainment, placement, and retention.
- To support the Mission Manager with audit readiness by maintaining clean, complete, and compliant files.
- To serve as a lead resource for community, employer, and training partner communications.
- To build positive relationships with clean tech employers, training providers, and supportive service agencies.
- To help identify and place participants in career readiness activities, internships, and employment opportunities.
- To maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in all GCTA classrooms and training spaces.
- To coach and mentor participants as they move through training and into employment.
- To support delivery of workshops, job clubs, site tours, and guest speaker events in clean tech and sustainability industries.
- To model and ensure excellence in customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
- To track program inventory and supply needs and communicate purchasing needs to the Mission Manager.
- To ensure team compliance with confidentiality, HIPAA, and safety requirements.
- To monitor attendance and timesheets and assist with performance feedback for assigned staff.
- To cover responsibilities in the absence of the Mission Manager as requested.
- To perform all other duties as may be assigned.
Reports to: CWD GCTA Mission Manager
Education: Bachelor Degree in field of Human Services or Education preferred; or appropriate combination of post-secondary education and work experience in field of Human Services or related fields to support the mission.
Work Experience: At least four years of experience in the field of Human Services, Education, customer service, teaching environment, and/or Recreation and at least two years of experience in a supervisory role. Grant writing or working with grants is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess a valid South Carolina Drivers License.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Preferred knowledge of Goodwill regulations, guidelines, and mandates.
- Ability to interpret and administer Goodwill regulations, guidelines, and mandates.
- Ability to read and understand a Profit & Loss statement and budget.
- Ability to meet the public and establish positive relationships with a wide variety of people, businesses, employers and agency representatives.
- Ability to present in a classroom environment
- Must have component computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Basic office equipment knowledge including computer, smartboard, virtual platforms, telephone fax, and copier.
- Work independently and demonstrate time management skills
- Maintain confidentiality
- Acquire certification in First Aid, CPR, MANDT and other certification/training as needed.
- Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, typing on computer and sitting for long periods of time, pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do limited work outdoors.
Safety & Security: Responsible for following all safety, security, and money handling procedures, as directed by Goodwill policy. Report all accidents, however slight, to your supervisor immediately. Never leave the premises without reporting any accident that occurred during your working time. If medical treatment is needed during your non-work hours, the supervisor should be contacted.

Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, or whatever hours are required to meet the professional requirements of the job and is scheduled to work approximately 40 hours each week.
Work Attire: Casual business attire, however business attire when appropriate. Each associate will present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that will be reflective of Goodwill’s positive image in the community.
