Tennis Instructor (PT)
SUMMARY
Provide instruction, and maintain membership through teaching, mentoring, and member mixers. Lead and/or assist in the instruction of our Junior Tennis Program. Help set up classes and follow/design a lesson plan for specific levels of tennis ability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and apply the Resort’s and Club’s mission statements to all work activities
- Collaborate with Head Tennis Professional and Assistant Professional on all tennis related activities
- Assist in teaching of Adult and Junior tennis activities including: Lessons, Leagues,
Mixers, Tournaments and other related tennis activities
- Help supervise junior tennis leagues
- Lead young junior classes
- String, or learn to string, tennis racquets using the USRSA’s standards
- Assist in non-tennis related activities as needed
- Assist with facility checks
- Perform any/all duties assigned by manager
- Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School experience or better
- Tennis knowledge

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to stand/teach tennis for long periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Noise level is moderate. Working environment is indoors/outdoors in variable weather. Hours and days required are varied and will include nights and weekends.
COMMENTS
Native American Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality
