As our 2nd Shift Plant Superintendent, you’ll take the lead in driving production success across all departments—ensuring materials are processed and products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll oversee operations, support team performance, and make a direct impact on our plant’s overall success, working hands-on or through your team of supervisors.
Salary offered: $100K-$105K
What You'll Do:
- Manage 2nd shift operations across multiple departments—including Mold/Melt, Core, Cleaning, Finishing, Maintenance, and Shipping—ensuring safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency.
- Supervise up to 50 employees, including responsibility for hiring, training, work assignments, performance management, disciplinary actions, and resolving employee concerns in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Plan and oversee production operations by reviewing orders and schedules, setting priorities, preparing operational timelines, and coordinating manufacturing activities to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines.
- Analyze production and operating reports, resolve issues related to manufacturing, maintenance, and operations, and inspect equipment to ensure performance, utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Develop or revise best practices, monitor compliance with operational standards, and ensure adherence to AS 9000, ISO 9001, QS 9000, safety, and environmental protection programs.
- Handle employee grievances or escalate unresolved issues to Human Resources, maintain production records, and perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

What We Need from You:
- High school diploma or GED required; a college degree in a related field or industry is preferred.
- 4–10 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A foundry background is a strong plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific, technical, financial, and legal documents.
- Capable of responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business partners, and presenting information effectively to senior management.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, though not required.
- Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to work with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and analyze data, interpret complex technical instructions, and manage both abstract and concrete variables.
