The Plant Engineer will plan, evaluate, implement, and follow up on projects concerning new equipment, facilities and manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do:
- Work with plant personnel including supervisor and corporate personnel to evaluate and recommend modifications to existing equipment or for the installation of new equipment, facilities or machinery.
- Develop requirements, specifications, costs and schedules.
- Manage approved projects through the various stages of development to successful completion.
- Monitor the expenditure of project funds to control total costs within the limits of the approved appropriation.
- Participate in the selection of contractors, where necessary, for the completion of approved projects.
- Work with contractors and maintenance crews to ensure work is completed according to predetermined standards and schedules.
- Take corrective action as necessary.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the annual capital plan and budget.
- Maintain communication with and assist plant personnel on projects relating to plant equipment to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, quality or work environment.
- Assist in proper training of plant personnel in the use of new facilities including operations, safety and maintenance,
- Ensure that projects comply with federal, state and local regulations and requirements.
- Maintain an awareness of the new methods, processes and equipment that would improve productivity or quality and reduce costs.
- Make appropriate recommendations.
- Exhibit superior safety practices every day, always evidenced by outstanding housekeeping.
- Extend treatment to all other associates of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.
- Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
- Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.

What We Need From You:
- Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, five to seven years’ experience preferred.
- Ability to work and access confidential data.
- Moderate physical effort. Able to lift up to 40 pounds if needed.
- Must be willing and able to wear all the required PPE.
