The Iron Pourer will safely and efficiently pour molten metal into molds in accordance with established quality criteria and guidelines in order to ensure the integrity of the castings produced.
This is a First Shift position. Starting hourly pay is $17.00
What You'll Do:
- For each job run, check and compare information on the alloy addition board with the following card data, including temperature information, Ladle Hang Time and Test Bars needed
- Alloy ladles as iron is taken and slag each ladle
- Monitor temperature of iron for each ladle of iron
- Clean weights, jackets and ladles as required
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Pour Test Bars as needed with the lab personnel
- Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned

What We Need from You:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One to two years’ manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be able to stand, bend, twist, knell, walk for 10+ hours.
- Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in an extremely hot environment.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Must be able to pass respirator fit test and comply with requirements when working in regulated areas.
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and following cards. Must understand numbering.
