PAY RANGE: $101,600.00 - $128,500.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The DEI, Culture and HR Program Manager plays a critical role in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), workplace culture, and HR programs at the credit union. This cross-functional role requires the ability to develop and implement HR programs while providing support across various HR functions to further DEI efforts in inclusion, employee growth, engagement, and organizational success, all aligned with our core values and strategic goals. The DEI, Culture and HR Program Manager is responsible for shaping workplace culture strategies and driving impactful HR programs that support these priorities.
This role involves designing, implementing, and managing a variety of employee-centered programs, including intern programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), engagement and branding efforts, community outreach, special projects, onboarding programs, and employee feedback surveys. Additionally, the DEI, Culture and HR Program Manager provides support across various HR functions as needed to reinforce a workplace culture rooted in our core value of inclusion, further strengthening our commitment to an evolving and impactful DEI journey.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Provide strategic guidance and support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Sponsors to enhance their impact on company culture and business initiatives.
- Partner with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, HR Operations, and Leadership and Enterprise Development to embed People and Culture principles in retention, employee development, and talent management practices.
- Assess HR programs through stakeholder feedback, providing recommendations and designing initiatives that enhance the employee experience, engagement, and development while driving retention and growth.
- Drive People and Culture strategies by advancing HR programs, expanding talent management, and ensuring career pathways through succession planning, mentorship, and leadership development.
- Lead external partnerships with community organizations, affinity groups, and industry associations to strengthen DEI efforts, corporate social responsibility, and employer branding.
- Develop initiatives that enhance employee engagement, internal branding, and workplace culture, reinforcing company values and fostering employee satisfaction.
- Design and manage the intern program to build a pipeline of future leaders through mentorship opportunities and recruitment efforts.
- Establish strategic partnerships with educational institutions and professional networks to attract and develop diverse talent, enhancing the overall candidate experience.
- Develop and implement enhancements to employee experiences that reflect the company’s culture, ensuring engagement across all levels of the organization.
- Draft, update, and maintain HR policies and procedures related to inclusion, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and legal requirements.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to proof-read, review, summarize, and report on complex government and legal rules, regulations, and guidance.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and
other standard office equipment, such as personal computer, or cell or telephone.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
- INTERNAL: All levels of leadership and staff.
- EXTERNAL: Vendors, management, and the staff of other financial institutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
- EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated success in managing multifaceted programs.
- KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- Demonstrated influential leadership skills, capable of guiding and inspiring teams and stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly, persuasively, and appropriately while ensuring inclusion of all audiences.
- Extensive HR knowledge and experience, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, onboarding, and DEI initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage HR initiatives, including intern programs, DEI efforts, employee engagement, and talent succession planning programs.
- Strong program management skills with a capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Initiative-taker with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, coupled with a collaborative mindset and a history of cross-functional teamwork.
- Experience with HR software systems and HR programs.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with team members across the organization.
- Demonstrate robust analytical abilities to convert metrics, research findings, and trends into actionable project plans.
- Solid knowledge of project management, change management, and process improvement tools and methodologies, preferably in a fast-paced environment4.
- Effective participation in team settings and collaboration with team members at all organizational levels. Ability to understand, communicate with, and interact effectively with people across the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex environments to enhance inclusive business and operational practices.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
- Corrected vision within the normal range.
- Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
- Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, Etc.
- Extensive local travel to meet with assigned branches.
- Minimal travel by car or public conveyance to attend meetings.
- Unusually long work hours may be required to accomplish tasks.
