Insurance Fee & Support Coordinator
What you’ll do…
The Fee and Support Specialist’s primary role is to support our dental offices by updating existing fee groups/schedules in a timely manner. They are also responsible for creating and maintaining insurance portal login credentials for each practice, as well as for the other RCM teams that rely on them. Fee and Support Specialists are also responsible for providing support to the practices by working insurance related helpdesk tickets that the practices submit.
This position is located at the GEDC Practice Support Center in Southfield, MI and would require an on-site presence five days per week.
What you’ll bring to the team…
- Ability and self-confidence to communicate effectively, and tactfully, to both large insurance company representatives and individual operations team members
- Quickly responding to and resolving helpdesk tickets accurately and efficiently
- Works with other Insurance Department Specialists to add new payer information to practice management software
- Loads new fee updates accurately and in a timely manner
- Other tasks as requested by the direct manager
- Sends payer communications regarding office closures/moves
- Payer/Network maintenance
- High priority issue resolution
- Insurance portal management
- Success measured by:
- Percentage of fees loaded accurately by state
- Tickets completed per day based on average daily completions
- High quality of communication with practices
- Other tasks or duties requested by Manager
What we require you have…
- Must possess high degree of professionalism and adaptability
- Must work well in a team. Teamwork is critical in this role.
- High level of detail orientation and organizational skills
- The ability to organize large amounts of data including plan participation, directories, spreadsheets, and files
- The ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast pace environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Extremely strong communication skills, which will include interaction between the Practice Support Center and Dental Offices. The ability to create well- articulated internal memos to address insurance issues and communicate the solutions to all Dental Offices
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office and Office Suite) with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Excel and ability to use lookups, conditional statements, and data modeling for internal use and external presentation
- Knowledge on how dental plans calculate copays and adjudicate claims.
Education & Experience…
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of healthcare experience preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic fast paced office environment
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
