Compliance Associate
Position Purpose: The Compliance Associate will report to the SVP- Compliance Officer. The Compliance Associate performs a variety of duties to assist with requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, and Compliance Management Program. This position will be responsible for performing Compliance Monitoring and Testing with applicable banking regulations.

- Review Large Currency Transaction reports to ensure CTR’s are properly completed and filed on a timely basis
- Review and manage the Monetary Instrument Reports
- Establish and maintain a working knowledge of federal laws and regulations and conduct monitoring and testing of consumer protection laws and regulation (e.g. TILA, RESPA, TRID, Flood, CRA, HMDA, Privacy, Fair Housing/Fair Lending, Reg O, Reg V, etc.)
- Maintain the HMDA loan application register
- Maintain the CRA data collection register
- Review and analyze transaction data in daily reports for unusual activity; investigate and research as necessary
- Attendance: Reporting to work on time and on scheduled day at your scheduled location.
- Face-to-face interaction with co-workers and the ability to work in a team environment.
Other Duties:
- Interact with Senior Lender, loan staff, Retail Management and branch staff as needed
- Assist with Federal and State examiners during examinations
- Assist with Internal Auditors during internal compliance reviews
- Assist Compliance Officer and BSA Officer with training of bank staff
- Researching and providing guidance related to compliance related questions for Management and staff
- Assist in registering new Mortgage Loan Officers with the National Mortgage Licensing System to ensure compliance with the SAFE ACT
Requirements:
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn

- Excellent organization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills required (oral and written)
- Ability to maintain and enhance knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements by participating in workshops, webinars, conferences, meetings, and by reading professional literature
- Ability to perform all job functions accurately and with attention to detail
Required Experience/Skills:
- Minimum Education: High School diploma; college degree preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant Compliance or financial services experience preferred; knowledge of HMDA/CRA or BSA preferred
- Working Knowledge of Jack Henry BSA Yellow Hammer or other core processing/BSA software preferred
Working Conditions:
Job is performed in an office environment with the majority of time spent stationary at a desk. Use of personal computer systems on a daily basis. Occasional travel may be required.
