Vice President Cloud Infrastructure Operations – US

 

EXL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Cloud Infrastructure Operations to lead our cloud infrastructure operations team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, will possess excellent leadership abilities, and have a strong track record of managing large-scale cloud deployments. This role requires a visionary leader who can oversee cloud operations, streamline processes, FinOps and ensure service reliability, availability, and performance.

The Vice President (VP) of Cloud Infrastructure Operations is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the EXL's cloud infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring that our cloud infrastructure aligns with the organization's business goals and objectives, while also maintaining the security, scalability, and reliability of our cloud-based systems.

You will lead a team of cloud engineers and operations lead who are responsible for implementing, deploying and maintaining the organization's cloud infrastructure. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to implement cloud-based solutions that power a portfolio of vertical business solutions. You will also monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.  Background in cloud automation is also essential to help transform our service management processes to align to fully automated infrastructure-as-code deployments.

Additionally, you will manage relationships with cloud service providers and other third-party vendors, ensuring that our cloud infrastructure remains robust and effective. Budget management for cloud infrastructure will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring cost-effective use of cloud resources while maintaining high standards of service delivery.  You will also be responsible for audit compliance across several frameworks including SOC II Type II, HIPPA and others.

 

Work You’ll Do / Responsibilities

  • Implement cloud infrastructure strategies that align with the organization's business goals and objectives
  • Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers and operations lead responsible for implementing, deploying and maintaining the organization's cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the organization's cloud-based systems
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency
  • Be accountable for meeting all audit compliance across the portfolio, including SoC II Type 2, HIPPA and other frameworks
  • Maintain the cloud systems health, vulnerability and security posture management to ensure adherence to cyber security best practices
  • Build and manage end to end Cloud Management workflow and publish periodic dashboards on performance, financials, utilization and enhancement in the environment
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers and other third-party vendors
  • Develop and manage the cloud infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective use of cloud resources

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Proven experience of Datacenter Operations and Datacenter to Cloud Transformation will be preferred
  • Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Github, Jenkins Terraform, etc.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working in global environment specifically Cloud Operations team in APAC geography will be added advantage
  • Ability to manage critical incidents, drive major changes and flexible working hours mindset will be critical for this role to handle unplanned events
