EXL Health is looking for a Senior Business Strategy Manager. This is a remote role within the US.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Business Strategy Manager to join our dynamic Payment Integrity SGU (Strategic Growth Unit). This is a high-impact multifaceted role focused on driving strategic initiatives to grow existing accounts and identify new market opportunities. Thew ideal candidate will lead critical efforts to evaluate market trends, assess competitive landscapes and shape actionable growth strategies. This position requires close coordination with senior leadership and offers the opportunity to influence key business decisions in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, a growth-oriented mindset, and a passion for making impactful changes in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategic Analysis
- Participate in client workshops, lead consulting engagements to understand client objectives and develop compelling business cases demonstrating how EXL's PI (payment integrity) offerings can strategically address their needs and drive desired outcomes.
- Conduct thorough due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, evaluating potential opportunities and risks to inform strategic decisions. Deliver actionable recommendations that align with EXL’s overall future goals.
- Conduct thorough research into prospective clients & participate in deal design & RFP solution development, capability / sales pitches for meetings with prospective clients.
- Develop high-impact presentations and executive briefs, effectively communicating insights for leadership consumption.
Solution Strategy & Marketing Support
- Support the Solution Management team in developing and refining new solutions, product strategies & roadmaps
- Understand the Payer & provider market, key players & trends to identify opportunities, and emerging challenges within the Payment Integrity space. Analyze market dynamics, including technological advancements & regulatory changes to create compelling business cases & Point of views.
- Use market & customer insights to inform sales strategy, solutions strategy and roadmap.
- Co-develop marketing collaterals such as case studies, playbooks, white papers, POVs & product videos.
Project Management & Reporting
- Coordinate between service delivery teams, track & report financial & operational performances, revenue risks & mitigation plans
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to uncover actionable insights & provide recommendations & insights to support strategic decision-making. Design and create informative reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership consumption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, leaders & track project progress against established timelines and budgets.
- Facilitate collaboration between business units to ensure alignment with transformation and growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or MBA degree.
- Experience: 6-8+ years in healthcare strategy, consulting, or related field. Familiarity with both payer and provider environments is a plus.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to work effectively across global teams and diverse business environments.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for collaboration and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to understand client problems, solve complex business problems, and develop solutions that fulfill client needs
- Experience in consultative sales, a pre-sales or solution engineering role, preferably within a Health tech company
- Prior knowledge of IT outsourcing, pricing models, and financial projections for project engagements.
- Entrepreneurial drive and comfort working in ambiguous, quickly changing environments
- Exposure to project/product management, strategy & PMO activities for a senior executive
- Strong Excel and Presentation skills required.
- Knowledge of claims auditing & PI business is a plus
