Purpose: Individual sorts and loads dishwashing machines as well as hand wash dishes, glassware, pots and pans and serving dishes. Assists others in kitchen with maintenance and movement of kitchen/banquet equipment. Heavy cleaning of kitchen equipment, stoves, ovens and other equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Work with Chef and Banquet Captains for China glass and silver pulls
- Push wheeled glass racks weighing approximately 60 pounds.
- Able to lift and empty garbage cans weigh approximately 85 pounds – with assistance from another employee.
- Standing and mobile for at least 8 hour shift
- Mop and sweep kitchen floors in work area.
- Hands exposed to chemicals and water during entire shift

- Assist others with storage of produce in refrigerators
- Assist others in movement of equipment and tables and chairs.
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, twist at the waist and reach over shoulder.
- Exposure to excessive heat and humidity.
- Ability to work on slippery and/or uneven walking surfaces.
- Ability to work alone and/or working closely with others.
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
- Ability to stand for 8 hrs length of time
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to bend frequently during a shift
- Ability to understand English if/when receiving instructions in English
Technology and Equipment:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Kitchen experience
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
