Eagle Physicians & Associates is seeking dynamic, self-motivated and experienced X-Ray Techs to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals to provide clinical support to physicians and APP’s in our NEW office. 

Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist is required. 

Schedule: (3) 12 hour weekday shifts and every other weekend.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

 

  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Produces quality diagnostic images.
  • Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
  • Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Logs radiologic procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork.
  • Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
  • Ability and familiarity with CR equipment.
  • Assist patients while in X-ray department and escorts back to exam room.
  • Demonstrates awareness of patient & visitor fears and apprehensions.
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
  • Shows respect, courtesy and advocacy in all dealings with all people, including, but not limited to patients, coworkers, and visitors.
  • Displays a positive attitude, and team-oriented spirit, indicated by a willingness to assist where and whenever needed.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Writes legibly and with correct grammar and sentence structure.
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and maintains security of Protected Health Information (PHI) and business information.
  • Does not exhibit, divulge, copy or remove the contents of any record or report except to fulfill work assignments.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform X-ray testing. Knowledge of radiology equipment. Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement. Skill in properly positioning patients. Skill in identifying equipment problems. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to work unsupervised and be a multi-task worker.

  

Education: Completion of course in radiologic technology approved program by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

 

Licensure: North Carolina State Licensure not necessary

 

Experience: 1 year minimum required

 

Certificate/License: Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
