Responsibilities:
- Course delivery twice a week for eight weeks to dual degree students on-site at Chicago campus during the daytime.
- Provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template which includes the terminal course objectives.
- Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials.
- Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
- Model effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
- Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
- Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
- Demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

- A master's degree is required for all faculty positions, along with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught.
- Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation.
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
- Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
Pay:
Visiting Professor pay is based on level, the number of credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. In addition, DeVry University does not guarantee any specific number of work hours or assignments, which may vary based on the University’s needs and discretion.
- Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session
- Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour
