FWS Student Worker III, Off Campus (Social Media Manager Intern)

OPPORTUNITY:
• Administrative support role for currently enrolled students.
• This is an off campus Federal Work Study Position.
Job Location: This internship role is HYBRID and the student is required to go on-site 1-2 times a week at the work location which is Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane Street Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
We are located a 2-minute walk from Glen Ellyn Train Station and the Illinois Prairie Path in downtown Glen Ellyn.

Internship Schedule: Approximately 25 hours per week during business hours

Through our extensive network of partners, mentors, and investors we have the resources and expertise needed for companies to build from the ground up. Signature programs are designed to quickly take business to the next level, and are led by industry professionals. Our work advances the entrepreneurial ecosystem, grows the regional economy, and is defined by the successes of those we serve.
Innovation on DuPage is seeking a Social Media Manager who wants to gain experience in a real working environment. We are looking for a self-motivated and organized student who is interested in creating and managing our social media channels.
- Create, manage, and schedule social media content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Compose, edit, and proofread creative content social media posts.
- Conduct interviews with ID community members.
- Carry out research and social listening activities.
- Build Buzz around Innovation DuPage’s offerings.
- Report on the health of our social media channels.
- Other responsibilities as assigned

- Must be an enrolled student.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a current student in good standing and possess a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.
- FWS fund eligible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed, motivated individuals.
- People who sit around, waiting to be told what to do will not do well in this environment.
