Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

Are you passionate about helping others through their recovery journey? We’re seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Residential Substance Use Treatment Program team, providing vital support to adult men in treatment for substance use disorders.

As Residential Support Staff, you’ll work under the guidance of our Clinical Manager and Director to create a safe, structured, and healing environment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a heart for service, strong communication skills, and experience in mental health or addiction recovery settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment & Monitoring:

  • Provide day-to-day observation and support for clients in the residential program
  • Continuously assess the treatment environment to ensure a safe and therapeutic space
  • Review and interpret shift reports to ensure smooth treatment plan implementation
  • Administer urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests to monitor client sobriety

 

Communication & Conflict Resolution:

  • Serve as a role model for healthy communication and behavior
  • Mediate client conflicts and escalate safety concerns to supervisors as needed
  • Promptly report any health or safety issues affecting clients

 

Service Delivery:

  • Provide basic nursing care and health-related training to clients
  • Monitor and document client self-administration of medication
  • Maintain accurate records in client medical files and shift logs (e.g., bed checks)
  • Perform safety walkthroughs of the facility
  • Accompany or transport clients to medical, psychiatric, or off-site appointments
  • Review and verify client documentation for approved absences or leaves

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must provide a current 3-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Previous experience working in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment setting
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
