We’re looking for someone ready to lead with empathy, build strong teams, and ensure the well-being and independence of residents in a Community Residential Alternative (CRA) home.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create a high-performance team culture built on trust, teamwork, and positive leadership.
- Supervise, support, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
- Manage day-to-day home operations and provide 24/7 on-call support for urgent needs.
- Recruit, train, and develop new DSPs to meet staffing goals and enhance service delivery.
- Support individuals in daily living activities, social development, and community involvement.
- Maintain compliance with ISPs, BSPs, and healthcare plans, ensuring timely documentation.
- Monitor home safety, manage incidents, and ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Prepare menus and grocery shop with residents while following dietary plans.
- Provide transportation for medical appointments, outings, and activities.
- Be a mentor and advocate, helping individuals expand their networks and personal goals.
What You Bring to the Role:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
- Strong conflict resolution, time management, and leadership abilities.
- A deep passion for person-centered, trauma-informed care.
Bonus Points (Preferred, Not Required):
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs unassisted and assist with mobility as needed.
- Willingness to engage in active duties: bending, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and squatting regularly.
