Role Summary:
The Director of New Studio Openings is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful launch of new locations. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage cross-functional teams, ensure operational readiness, and drive business success from pre-opening through stabilization. This role will travel to all new studios (10-20/yr) to support setup of the space and support operations in opening with excellence. They will be responsible for ensuring all cross-functional groups complete the necessary work to open a new studio. This role will report to the Chief Growth Officer and work closely with VP of Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end project management for new studio openings once studio is approved in Real Estate Committee.
- Lead Cross-functional workstreams enabling successful opening including:
- Weekly Cross-functional calls for status updates
- Weekly share-outs to leadership team on risks to opening
- Problem Solving with cross-functional partners to achieve desired outcomes
- Operational Readiness: Develop and implement comprehensive opening plans to ensure each new studio meets company standards and is fully operational on opening day.
- Team Leadership: Partner with local District Manager to ensure recruiting, training of staff is complete in time for opening. Provide clear direction to cross-functional teams and support to ensure successful openings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Real Estate, Construction, Marketing, HR, and Operations to coordinate all aspects of openings.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all new studios comply with company policies and brand standards
- Attend all New Studio Openings to be on the ground to support with:
- Grand Opening Events
- Finding pre-opening partnerships for food/beverage
- Coordinating pre-opening and grand opening events
- On the ground support to ensuring best in class execution of events
- Partnership with marketing for Influencer events and photography/social media
- Grand Opening Events
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of new studios, implementing improvements as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Lead bi-weekly post-opening calls to support stabilization of new studios
- Prepare and support Bi-Weekly post-opening calls financial data to track results
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in multi-unit operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing new store openings or transitions.
Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership and team development abilities.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Travel: Ability to travel extensively nationwide to oversee openings (40%)

Compensation:
- Annual Salary: $120,000 - $135,000
- Bonus Potential: Up to 20% bonus potential
