ROLE SUMMARY 

Job Title: Performance Optimization Lead

Reports to: Vice President of Yoga Operations 

Classification: Full-Time Exempt 

Job Location: National, Texas preferred


The Performance Optimization Lead is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational performance and profitability of challenged yoga studio locations. This individual will leverage their deep understanding of studio operations, business analytics, and change management to identify areas for improvement, implement efficient processes, and drive revenue growth. A primary focus will be on assessing underperforming studios, developing and executing turnaround strategies, and establishing best practices across all locations. This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader with exceptional problem-solving, communication, and coaching abilities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Operational Assessment and Optimization:  

  • Conduct thorough operational audits of each studio, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement across all areas, including scheduling, staffing, customer service, marketing, sales, and facility management. 

  • Implement standardized operating procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency, consistency, and profitability across all locations. 

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as class count, membership, attendance, churn, retail performance, and operating costs to identify trends and areas needing attention. 

  • Implement strategies to optimize class schedules, instructor utilization, and studio space to maximize revenue and student satisfaction. 

  • Business Turnaround and Growth Strategies:  

  • Assess the financial and operational health of underperforming studios to identify the root causes of underperformance.  

  • Develop and execute comprehensive turnaround plans with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes. 

  • Implement strategies to increase membership sales, improve student retention, and drive ancillary revenue streams (e.g., workshops, retail). 

  • Partner cross functionally to develop and execute targeted marketing and sales initiatives to attract new students and re-engage past members. 

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth. 

  • Team Leadership and Development:  

  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to Studio Managers and their teams, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment. 

  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews. 

  • Identify training and development needs and implement programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of studio staff. 

  • Build strong relationships with Studio Managers and empower them to effectively manage their teams and achieve operational goals. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards across all locations. 

  • Financial Management and Reporting:  

  • Monitor and analyze studio financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. 

  • Work with Studio Managers to manage budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets. 

  • Prepare regular reports on operational performance, turnaround progress, and key financial metrics for senior leadership. 

  • Project Management and Implementation:  

  • Lead and manage operational improvement projects and turnaround initiatives, ensuring timely and effective implementation. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, strategy, HR & facilities) to support studio success. 

  • Track progress against project goals and make necessary adjustments to ensure desired outcomes are achieved. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.  

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in multi-unit management, ideally within the fitness, wellness, or service industry. Experience specifically within yoga studios is highly desirable. 

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing operational efficiencies and turning around underperforming business units. 

  • Strong understanding of yoga studio operations, including class scheduling, membership management, retail sales, and customer service. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop data-driven solutions. 

  • Exceptional leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams. 

  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and analyzing financial performance. 

  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including studio management software (e.g.,Zenoti), CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Ability to travel frequently to multiple studio locations within the country. 

  • Current or former CorePower Yoga teacher a plus 

 

 

THE FINE PRINT 

  • National Role, Texas Preferred 

  • Ability to commute 100% of schedule coast to coast depending on needs of business.  

  • Willing to relocate depending on market needs 

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between studios daily (mileage reimbursement available per our business expense policy)  

  • Availability must reflect the needs of the business – mornings, evenings, and weekends 

  • Must be able to move around the studio space, attend class, and travel

COMPENSATION 

  • Salary Range: Starting at $75,000 annually, based on experience 

  • Bonus potential up to 25%
