Summary:

 

Cosmʼs marketing team is building a global brand, representing its category's best in class. The team is responsible for developing marketing strategies, materials, and narratives in service of all Cosm companies and their respective audiences.

 

As a Content Producer, you will contribute by capturing, producing, and editing photo and video content for various marketing objectives. A strong understanding of photography, filmmaking principles, storytelling, content management, and enthusiasm about expanding your skill set is essential. Experience with industry best practices, producing dynamic marketing materials, and motion graphics is highly desirable. This role will collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop online and offline marketing visuals, including materials for web, social media, conferences, sales collateral, and other content.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in projects from planning and conceptualization through the various stages of execution, including: research, storyboarding, shot-list, organizing, directing, shooting, and post-production editing with a focus on compelling short to medium-form content.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, constantly meeting deadlines through all stages
  • Work efficiently and prioritize shoots to stay on schedule and in budget.
  • Perform video and photo shoots with industry-standard cameras, audio equipment, and lighting.
  • Coordinate pre-production logistics, including crew booking, equipment rentals, location permitting, and call sheet distribution to ensure smooth shoot execution.
  • Manage production schedules and timelines, proactively identifying risks and solving conflicts before they impact creative deliverables.
  • Own on-set and post-shoot operational needs, such as handling releases, tracking deliverables, managing asset organization, and liaising with teams for post-production workflows.
  • Oversee the security, operation, and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing
  • Work with marketing leadership and stakeholders to understand strategic branding, advertising, and engagement goals, ensuring photos and videos meet expectations
  • Create visually appealing content for use across B2B and B2C platforms, including web, social media, conferences, sales collateral, and other content.
  • Remain informed about industry trends, standards, and innovations, and recommend new strategies and tactics
  • Work with the larger marketing team to establish best practices for asset management and workflows.
  • Manage and maintain digital assets for both internal and external needs

Experience:

  • Start-up DNA Willing to roll up sleeves, do foundational work, and test innovative approaches. Able to prioritize deftly. Comfortable with setting their direction and adjusting to the landscape
  • 5 years of experience as a photo and video content producer     
  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve.             
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Understanding of high-resolution video workflows and photography principles
  • High attention to design detail, with an interest in storytelling and customer journey
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to work within a remote team environment
  • Be able to present and defend your thought process
  • A strong desire to develop as a photographer and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities
  • Experience with project management tools (Notion is a plus)

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $73,000 to $90,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
