What We Need

 

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Trainer & Instructional Designer. This individual will play a pivotal role in creating and delivering engaging, results-driven learning experiences across the organization. The position is approximately 70% focused on in-person training facilitation and 30% on instructional design and content development.  The ideal candidate is a skilled facilitator who can build meaningful connections with learners, translate complex processes into accessible content, and design training programs that drive performance and engagement. This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), team leads, and key stakeholders to ensure all learning initiatives align with organizational goals and the evolving needs of our workforce. The Trainer & Instructional Designer reports directly to the Director of CX Content, Learning & Development.  Above all, we are looking for a strong cultural fit—someone who demonstrates a genuine commitment to helping others succeed, brings a positive and adaptable mindset, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. How We Work

As a Trainer & Instructional Designer, you will be expected to work in an office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in our Nashville, TN location
  • Company-issued equipment on site
  • Formal, hands-on training

 

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

Live training courses (70%)

  • Practicing deep patience and making what can be complicated and tedious processes fun for learners.
  • Leading in-person instructor-led training (ILT) sessions in the Nashville office as well as the occasional virtual instructor-led training (VILT).
  • Delivering onboarding programs for new hires and cross-training programs for existing team members.
  • Adapting delivery style based on learner needs and engagement levels.
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback to continuously improve training quality.
  • Collaborating with Operations management and SMEs to ensure optimal learner outcomes are met.
  • Facilitating practical application sessions known internally as training bay.
  • Maintaining training rooms and ensure they are kept tidy.

 

Instructional Design & Content Creation (30%)

  • Showing initiative, maintaining a positive attitude, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Developing blended learning materials including eLearning modules, microlearning, videos, job aids, and documentation.
  • Collaborating with SMEs to gather insights and develop learner-centered content.
  • Ensuring all training content is consistent, clear, and aligned with business goals.
  • Uploading, organizing, and maintaining content in LMS platforms; tracking learning outcomes and provide reports.
  • Practicing strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, communicate progress clearly to stakeholders, and ensure training initiatives are delivered with consistency and impact.
  • Managing time, stay organized, plan, and prioritize effectively.
  • Communicating effectively through verbal and written means, paying high attention to detail.

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • 5-6 years of experience in training facilitation and instructional design (experience in financial technology or process training is a plus).
  • College degree or equivalent required. Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or Communications preferred.
  • Proficient in eLearning software authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Experience working with LMS platforms (Lessonly) to manage and deliver content.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; confident leading in-person training sessions.
  • Comfortable analyzing complex processes and translating them into user-friendly training materials.
  • Strongly self-motivated, with a bend toward extreme ownership.

 

Work Scope and Context

  • Decisions are made within established guidelines and strategic goals.
  • The role is primarily self-driven but requires regular collaboration with various departments and stakeholders.
  • No direct supervisory responsibilities but will influence outcomes across multiple teams and display strong classroom management skill.
  • Frequent interpersonal communication—both virtual and in-person—is required for facilitation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Regular in-office presence is required for live training sessions; remote flexibility applies to content development responsibilities.
  • Support co-workers by helping with occasional departmental needs that may fall outside the scope of this Job Description.
  • Occasional travel may be required for off-site training or collaboration events.
