What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Sr. Data Analyst within our Corpay division. This position falls under our Legal line of business and is located in Toronto CA. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in gathering, cleaning, management, storage, and analysis of data from a variety of sources to assist multiple workstreams of the Corpay Cross-Border Compliance department. The main objective is so that Compliance teams can derive more meaningful insights from data to identify and mitigate the risk. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Reporting & Analytics and regularly collaborate with departments

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be expected to work in an office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Planning, developing, and administering data use, storage, cleaning, conditioning, and retrieval for projects ranging from basic to intermediate complexity.
  • Designing and complete analytics for complex data projects involving broad and varied subject matter.
  • Analyzing data collection gaps and recommend modifications for collection methods.
  • Using various methodologies to evaluate data, determine relevant patterns, and identify boundaries for data application in qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Developing and present a wide range of visualizations and data analysis results and findings to Compliance management and other internal/external audiences.
  • Managing the project and stakeholders through all core project phases, including project setup, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Leading the team through hands-on development by coding in SQL, creating data visualizations in Power BI, and designing data models in platforms.
  • Ensuring Compliance team satisfaction through consistent support, impactful thought leadership and high-quality project execution.
  • Understanding, developing, and articulating complex business challenges into actionable plans with clear and concise communication.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Contributing to internal growth initiatives including mentorship, recruitment, strategy and/or methodology enhancement.
  • Miscellaneously projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Higher education in analysis, statistics, computer science, data or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Eagerness to help build and lead a best-in-class data practice.
  • 1-3 years Project Management, Process, Implementation, System Integration, and SDLC experience working closely with data professionals in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with project planning, including tasks, budgeting, resource allocation and balancing.
  • 3-5 years in a data-focused role and expert-level experience with SQL in platforms such as MS SQL Server or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with business driven / self-service BI, using tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.

This salary range is provided for locations which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range varies depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets.  At Corpay, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  An estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is $85,000.00 - $98,000.00 Canadian currency plus additional variable compensation according to the incentive plan for this position
