Instructional Designer
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire an Instructional Designer. In the role, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for will collaborate closely with Department Leads, Product, Marketing, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop high-impact documentation and learning materials.
This role is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and scalable resources - including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, FAQs, training manuals, job aids, microlearning videos, and video scripts - that support onboarding, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate has a strong background in instructional design and adult learning, combined with proven experience in technical and process writing. This individual will serve as a strategic partner across departments, translating complex systems, tools, and workflows into accessible content that drives performance. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable navigating ambiguity while developing structured content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
How We Work
As an Instructional Designer you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment reporting to our Brentwood, TN, Beaverton, OR, or Richmond, VA office locations. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Writing and maintaining comprehensive SOPs and process documentation that prioritize learner experience and support operational efficiency.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather accurate information, validate technical content, identify gaps, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and expectations.
- Working closely with SMEs ensuring all documentation and training materials are accurate, current, and aligned with evolving business processes and strategic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Designing and implementing end-to-end learning programs and curricula using structured methodologies integrating process flows, system walkthroughs, and decision trees where applicable.
- Applying instructional design and adult learning principles to create and deliver effective training solutions for a variety of formats and delivery methods.
- Managing multiple content development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality documentation and training assets.
- Producing a range of blended learning deliverables - including SOPs, eLearning modules, microlearning, simulations, job aids, knowledge checks, and certification materials - tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in training development, instructional design, or technical content creation, preferably within a technology-focused environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com.
- Skilled in using industry-standard eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems; experience with Seismic Learning, Salesforce, and Zingtree is a strong plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a sharp attention to detail and a focus on clarity and accuracy.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
